As an Indian, it
is my work to tell about INDIA. Though
my blog is about tech but, I think that as an Indian I must tell you about India. Before going to tell you about
the national symbol and facts,
you must have basic knowledge about INDIA
which is given below.
ABOUT INDIA
FULL FORM OF INDIA
IS--- INDEPENDENT NATION DECLARED IN AUGUST.
INDIA is a
democratic country. India is known for its diversity. There
are different types of people living is India.
They belong to different casts,
groups, and state as well. There
culture is different from one another.
All types of people wear different types of clothe, eat different types
of food and many more. INDIA IS A VERY
BIG COUNTRY. It has more than 130 CRORE population. Since, independence there is various reforms
done by various types of group leader. One of them is green revolution. There are total 29 states in INDIA and SEVEN union territories. Now days, INDIA is developing very fast.
So, it is a developing country. Recently, NARENDRA MODI HAS WON THE LOK SABHA ELECTION. He is the prime
minister of India. Ramnath kovind is the
president of India. Its constitution
was made by DR.BR AMBEDKAR, was
enacted on 26 JAN, 1950. So, every year on 26 January republic day
is celebrated. INDIA became
independent on 15, august 1947. So this is the basic information that you
should be having about India. Now I am
goanna tell you NATIONAL SYMBOL AND FACTS ABOUT INDIA.
NATIONAL SYMBOLS AND FACTS ABOUT INDIA—
1} FATHER OF THE NATION
“MOHAND DAS KARAM CHAND GANDHI”
commonly known as “BAPU” “MATHAMA GANDHI” OR “GANDHI JI” is the
FATHER OF INDIAN NATION. He had
contributed his whole life in the freedom struggle of India. According to him violence is not the
solution of a problem. He introduced a new system of non-violence that was “satyagrah”.
In this system he told that if the reason is true, culprit is wrong
then we can easily take justice by doing strike, candle march etc.
2} NATIONAL EMBLEM
National emblem of India was from SARNATH LION CAPITAL OF
ASHOKA. It includes four lions standing back to back, mounted on an abacus with a
frieze carrying sculptures in high relief of an elephant, a galloping horse, a
bull and a lion separated by intervening wheels over a bell shaped lotus. The
wheel appears in relief in the centre of the abacus with a bull on right and a
horse on the left and the outlines of him other wheel on extreme right and
left. The bell shaped lotus has been omitted. The words, “SATYAMEVA JAYATE” from MUNDAKA
UPNISHAD, meaning “TRUTH ALONE TRIUMPHS” inscribed below in DEVANGARI SCRIPT.
3} NATIONAL FLAG
Flag of India was adopted by
constituent assembly, on 22 July, 1947, has
a wheel that appears on the abacus of SARNATH lion having twenty four spokes.
The width of the flag to its length is two to three.
Colors of the flag;-
In national flag of India the top
band is of saffron color, indicating
the strength and courage of the country. The WHITE middle band indicates the truth and peace of Dharma chakra.
The last band is green in color shows
the fertility, growth and auspiciousness of the land.
The CHAKRA—
The charka depicted the “wheels of the law” in the SARNATH lion
capital made by third century BC MAURAYAUN
EMPEROR ASHOKA. THE CHAKRA indents
to show that there is life in movements and there is life in movement and death
in stagnation.
FLAG CODE--
On 26th January 2002, the citizens of India were finally
allowed to hoist the Indian national
flag, over their homes, offices and factories on any day and not just on
National days as was the earlier.
4} NATIONAL CALENDAR
The national calendar based on the
SAKA ERA, with chaitra as its first month and a normal year of 365 days was
adopted from 22 marches 1957 along with
the Gregorian calendar for the following purpose only …
- Gazette of India
- News broadcast by all India radio Calendar issued by the government of India,
- Governments communications to the addressed
to he members of public.
Dates of the national calendar
have a permanent correspondence with the dates of the Gregorian calendar, 1
chaitra falling on 22 March normally and on 21 March in leap year.
5} NATIONAL ANTHEM
“JANA GANA MANA” is
the national anthem India. The national
anthem was composed by RABINDRA NATH
TAGORE, which was adopted by the constituent assembly on 24, January 1950. It
was first on December 27, 1911 at the Calcutta session of the Indian national
congress playing time of the full version of the national anthem is approximately
52 seconds. A short version consisting of the first and the last lines of the
stanza is approximately 20 seconds. The whole song consist of five stanza.

6} NATIONAL SONG
“VANDE MATRAM IS THE NATIONAL SONG OF
INDIA. It is the
poem from the fame novel ANANDAMATHA which
was written by BAMKIN CHHATRA
CHHOPADHAYA IN 1882. It is written
in Bengali and Sanskrit language. It is a hymn to goddess DURGA, indentifies as
the national personification of India. It
played a vital role in Indian
independence movement, first sung in the political context by RABINDRA NATH TAGORE at the 1886 session of
the INDIAN NATIONAL CONGRESS. IN
1950’S the songs first two verses were given the official status of the
“national song” of the republic of India, distinct from the national anthem of
India JANA GANA MANA.
